Just replaced transmission and put a triple disc torque converter on ours at a 6100.00 cost. 2017 Tahoe failed at 78k. The vehicle was used for towing by the previous owner which might have something to do with the early failure. Same, at 117k miles. Had a new GM trans installed with 100k warranty, hoping to not need it.

2020 Silverado 1500. Rear main went at 5000 miles and was replaced (all the oil leaked out while driving on the highway…). Now at about 20000 miles it started leaking again. This time it is a much slower leak though. Getting a second rear main seal in 20000 miles. Great manufacturing.
Found the 1-3-5-6-7 piston seal was cut, allowing for insufficient pressure to the clutches and causing a shudder sensation as the clutches were slipping. Replaced the cut seal. Found no obvious signs of distress to clutches or housings.
