The trunk would get opened so often from the buttons getting pressed in my pocket by other keys in there.Relay for trunk good. Does not make sense. Same issue here with my 2015 Malibu LT. Swapped out latch and relay and still nothing. Latch makes zero noise when the button is pushed. Some cars have a trunk lock button inside middle console or glove compartment to disable the latch from opening but I haven't found anything like that in the Malibu.

The push button works when all the doors are unlocked.
