I notice no difference in accuracy with the mcmillan and I actually prefer the fit and feel of the tikka factory stock a bit more. That being said my dad recently passed away and he had a CA Mesa in a 6.5 creed. Started looking at magnum calibers (vs. 308 Win.) and semi-settled on 300 Win. Mag. due to the availability of ammo and the additional velocity (and energy) it holds downrange vs. the 308. I initially considered the Browning Hell's Canyon Speed, Christensen Arms Ridgeline, and Tikka T3x Superlite (all in 300wm). Browning HCS465. Location. Orangevale, Ca. Oct 11, 2021. #5. Tikka T3x in 300 WM is the hardest rifle I have ever tried to shoot. Tiny forearm and light in weight makes for an extremely difficult combination. It also takes AICS mags instead of proprietary $100 Tikka mags. Mine’s been crazy accurate, 300 WM. Personally I wouldn’t have any concerns with regards to fit and finish, but I don’t doubt there’s issues out there. The thread on the Ti version of the Mesa really shows that the stocks seems to be their weakness (lots seemed to be coming in over weight). Stocks can be replaced.
