Gsg firefly firing pin.
Jan 2, 2013 · All GSG/Sig 1911s have series 80 safeties. Therefore there is only one firing pin option. The only way you could have one of these guns with out it is to remove the series 80 parts and replace with the correct shim. The pin is coming from ATI for the GSG 1911-22. I'll make sure it is the right one.

Sanger, TX. I picked up this slightly used GSG Firefly 22LR pistol from a pawn shop Saturday. I paid $200 out the door. Come to find out, GSG made the Sig Mosquito under contract for Sig Sauer. When Sig discontinued it, GSG renamed it the Firefly. It feels solid and operates like a sig. Came with 3 magazines and all the original paperwork.Unfortunately, Taylor does not list the firing pin as one of their parts offered. Looks like my options are; 1. put the Firefly into the safe and let it collect dust, 2. find a gunsmith to fabricate a firing pin, or 3. toss the Firefly into the St. Johns river. The problem is that when the trigger is pulled and held to the rear an entire "plate" moves forward to unlock the firing pin. During bolt recoil the firing pin is fully unlocked all the way back and all the way forward.
GSG Firefly, My Opinion. I recently picked up a GSG Firefly from my lgs for about $200. I won't lie, the first thing to catch my eye was the price tag.
