The key fobs are very finicky. Take it apart and use a pencil eraser to clean the two tiny prongs that make contact with the fob battery. They may need slight bending for good contact with the battery. Also IIRC there are two small rectangular copper pads that need to be cleaned also. Reassemble with a new battery. Good Luck.
