While planting food plots last season noticed the clutch was not stopping the transmission, took a long time. for the gears to stop before shifting, and the PTO was dang near impossible to engage with the tractor running. 1990 318. Is it normal to have to rev the engine to engage the PTO clutch? The resistance seems okay, about 3.5 ohms. Voltage going to it seems okay. I noticed it seems to act better once it warms up, engages at basically an idle engine speed. I thought it was not staying tight, as I adjusted the gap and thought it was fixed.Deer are abundant on our farm, but for most of the summer, they've left my garden well enough alone until I went out of town of vacation. Yes, I've taken one apart around 218 hours just to see how it worked and what was involved. Not really a big deal if you have a shop press. If not, don't know how you're going to get it apart.
