I would first ensure that the crankcase vent tube is open and is able to exhaust freely...its usually attached to the airbox. 3) Find the oil check window on the crankcase. The window is near the rear of the crankcase toward the bottom. 4) Clean the window with a rag if necessary and look at the oil level. The oil should be in the middle of the “add” and “full” markings. If your entire window is black, then you have too much oil in the engine.
