I finally was able to update to the latest firmware, PIC 10512.2560.2.70 and it is at least back to the first type of issue where it’d have solid red interrupted cycle mid cycle but I could force it to keep going by manually hitting reset. But the app btw now keeps on notifying me with all sorts of issues even though the box looks fine ...

The LR3 could definitely use improvement, the embedded software is trash, I've seriously considered writing my own firmware for it.
