This bow is a build-off of their Ventum Pro from last year with the same cam system and In-Line™ compatible accessories. The main difference for this new bow, is the decrease in sound. I’m not a guy who buys a new bow every year (sorry Mathews)! I tend to wait until I feel like the technology has advanced to a point that it makes sense to upgrade. That was this year, with the Phase 4-33. I switched from another brand to my first Mathews. I went all in with the entire bridgelock set-up. I have been beyond impressed!

Location. UT. This is an opinion based subject so I will give mine. I believe the Mathews binary cam configuration to be far superior to Hoyt's hybrid cam and a half system. The tuning and usability of the binary cam is so user friendly comared to the myriad of issues you can run into with the hybrid cam.

I’d go with the Hoyt, from my testing, the Hoyt VTM 31 was faster and quieter than all of the bows I tested. Those bows were the VTM 31, Execute 30, Ominia, Era, Carbon One, and SS 34. The draw cycle seemed a touch better on the VTM but the back wall and hold felt incredible on the Phase 4's. The Lift has a longer riser which makes a difference with stability and accuracy. the Lift will shoot 3-6 fps faster then the Phase4 or V3X’s. The weight difference is substantial though, you will definitely notice that. That’s the biggest upgrade about that Lift that’s tremendously different then the Phase4 and V3X.
