We figured it was something in the tank/fuel line. We ran off of the right tank. On our first mowing of this season, now the right tank is doing the same. Hello Tim, welcome to the tractor forum. Sounds to me like your tractor is running on gravity fuel flow. Fuel pump is not working. See "Fig.No.0301XX"on attached parts diagram. If you still having hard start issues it's not the lift pump, it's either getting air into the fuel system, has a bad glow plug or plugs, or some other issue.
