Oct 1, 2022. HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Energy crews are working to restore power in High Point on Monday afternoon as storms roll through the area. Around 1,700 people are without power. The outages were reported near the Deep River area, according to a statement posted on social media by the City of High Point.
As of approximately 3 p.m. Monday, Duke Energy reported 173 active power outages affecting 2,875 customers in Henderson County, an improvement from the 3,449 reported around 11 a.m. Repairs and damage assessment are still underway, and no estimated time of restoration is currently listed.Planned outages are necessary for our crews to safely perform maintenance and upgrade electrical equipment that serves you.
