Morning. I'm seeking any advice on applying to ADOS opportunities via MOBCOP/ToD. As of today, I've applied to over 10 positions (about half within my MOS series and the other 50% being 00G positions). Here are some of my questions, but I am highly interested in mobilizing to gain more experience. Would contacting the POC within each position ...Tour of Duty (TOD) Packet Your TOD packet will take approximately 60- 90 days to complete prior to orders generation. Once you have applied for a position and have been selected, it is important for you to work with your chain of command to gain approval.Tour of Duty still exists, MOBCOP has gone away. Carrera is much more user friendly, but you still need access to TOD to apply for some of the positions. Tour of Duty and Carrera are different websites. A number of Carrera listings just tell you to go apply on TOD. If you register for the Army Virtual Desktop you can go on TOD at home.Higher HQ approves the individual. The reserve unit staffs it and approves it thru multiple levels. It goes back to the higher HQ for another approval. Then it goes to DA G-1 for approval. Then it goes to HRC for final approval and orders. Anyone can disapprove thru the chain, and you go back to square one.

Find poc on postings and send them a packet. Plus you can get a first hand look about how other units operate and have that knowledge to take back to your unit.
