In the process of cleaning/rebuilding the carburetor on a 2003 kfx 400 and putting it back together. While putting it back together, the main jet holder part # 49123-S005 (on partzilla diagram) would not screw down flush the way it had been. While trying, it seats against the Jet-needle p-0m part # 16017-S005 causing the jet guard part # 55020-S013 to sit too low and against the float bowl.

Try removing the vacuum line from the choke actuator and plugging it when the engine is warmed up, then see if the engine keeps running. If it does, the actuator diaphragm leaks when the choke is open. Check the exhaust pipe for blockage. If the engine has an EGR system or PCV valve, check those for proper operation.
